Description
The 6 plank wagon was a type of private owner wagon used in the UK. Wagons such as these were responsible for hualing the lions share of cargo around the UK in the pre-grouping and grouping era. Such wagons would be assembled in long colourful lines with wagons from other companies, only being shunted from the consist when they reached their destination. Such wagons would often be seen behind locomotives such as the Dean Goods on the Western Region, Black 5 with the LMS, P1 with the LNER and S15 on the SR. These wagons would find themselves repainted and unified for use in BR service before they would be displaced by specified wagons for different cargo.
Pristine finish.
